Sudar Percussion Trio - Beli Manastir
Luka Ivir began his musical journey at the age of 12 at the Ferdo Livadić Music School in Samobor. During high school, he won numerous national and international awards and, as a talented musician, was a scholarship recipient from the City of Samobor and Zagreb County.
Notable Performances:
- Solo concerts at the Travno and Novi Zagreb Cultural Centers, as well as at the Lika Lika and Festival of Wooden Chapels festivals
- Finalist at the Rhythm-o-phonia International Competition (2022), performing as a soloist with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra – awarded 3rd prize
- Recital at the Ferdo Livadić Competition (2024), selected as one of the six finalists
Since 2016, Luka has been a member of the Sudar Percussion ensemble, where he regularly performs as a marimbist. In 2021, he recorded the album Folk & Roll in collaboration with the vocal ensemble Singrlice – an album that went on to win the Porin Award for Best Ethno Album in 2023.
In addition, he frequently collaborates with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the HRT Symphony Orchestra, and the HRT Tamburitza Orchestra. He continues to refine his skills by studying with top professors at international seminars and festivals.
Luka graduated in percussion from the Zagreb Music Academy in 2023 under the mentorship of professor Ivana Kuljerić. Since graduating he has been sharing his passion for music and percussion with future musicians as a percussion teacher at the Ferdo Livadić Music School in Samobor.
Online Drum School
Private lessons, ranging from 30 to 60 minutes, are tailored for all ages and skill levels – from beginners to experienced drummers and percussionists, from young children to retirees.
I’m a graduate percussionist and music school professor, with extensive experience in teaching and performing. My expert and individualized approach ensures a solid understanding of both drumming technique and music theory.
What We Cover in Lessons:
- Drumming/Percussion Techniques – proper stick grip, hand-foot coordination, dynamics
- Solfeggio (Music Theory) – understanding rhythms and musical notation
- Playing Along with Songs – developing a sense of groove, tempo, and playing in a band
Lessons are conducted online, providing a flexible and effective way to learn from home. The only requirement is that students have their own drum set.
My approach is individualized and tailored to each student, creating a supportive and motivating environment for learning and progress.
